There is no reason to feel ashamed because you have already talked to AI about your difficulties. Do not wait for it to confirm that you need help.
In the Czech Republic, call 155 or 112 if life or health is in immediate danger. If violence is imminent, you can also call 158. Say where you are and what is happening. You do not need to know a diagnosis.[1]
If you are afraid you might hurt yourself, ask a safe person to stay with you and seek emergency help. If you have already sustained a dangerous injury, taken a dangerous amount of medication or another substance, or acted in another way that puts you at risk, call 155 or 112 in the Czech Republic. Do not wait for a chatbot's assessment or for symptoms to appear.[2][1:1][3]
“I need help. I am at… What is happening is… I am afraid I might hurt myself / I have already hurt myself.”
When you need emotional support
These are Czech support services.
| Contact | Who it is for and when |
|---|---|
| 116 111, Linka bezpečí | Children and students up to the age of 26. Free telephone support, around the clock.[4] |
| 116 123, Linka první psychické pomoci | Adults and people close to them. Free telephone support, around the clock.[5] |
You can start with: “I am having a hard time and I do not know how to explain it.” If you are having suicidal thoughts, contact a person and do not remain only in the chat.[2:1]
When you cannot speak aloud
In the Czech Republic, if you cannot make a voice call, you can send an emergency text message to 112. Write what is happening and where, when, how many people need help, and who is writing. Say that you cannot speak and watch for the operator's reply.[6]
For non-emergency support, you can use the Czech chat services at linkabezpeci.cz/pomoc or linkapsychickepomoci.cz. Their opening hours are listed on those websites. Support chat and email are not emergency services; do not wait for them to open if you are in danger.[4:1][5:1]
A message or contact history may remain on your device. If someone checks it, consider a safe way to get in touch. If someone close to you is hurting you, it may not be safe to ask that person for help. A child can contact Linka bezpečí without a parent's prior consent.[4:2]
